Our school is working on a computer lab for us, but for now, personal laptops and LibreCAD has allowed me to teach CAD to my welding students. We wanted a block library of symbols, and here it is!
Welding symbols library with aux symbols. Readme has legend for file names for weld symbol placement. Created by students and myself at Bates Tech College. Symbols are based on AWS standard symbols.
Symbols were drawn in LibreCAD, multi-platform OS(windows, mac, linux). We cross tested each symbol and they imported into CAD with no issues. These can be copied into LibreCAD's library folder(with root priv) or edit "path" for additional libraries within LibreCAD; options->application preferences->path
