I am a retired CAD technician. For the first 4 years of my engineering career, I was a project engineer for a small manufacturing and engineering services company. Juggling up to 60 accounts on any given day. I spent my last year at this company in their IT department assembling and configuring workstations for new personnel and/or employees in need of upgrades. I assisted as needed running Cat 5 cables.
My last 14 years were at APC/Schneider Electric in the NAM Applications engineering where the bulk of my duties was supplying the drawings for a small applications engineering department, for the majority of CAD illiterate engineers who were very good at what they did, very smart and highly motivated to design custom solutions for a wide range of small to global customers.
