I'm the open source project lead for BRL-CAD. What is that you may ask? It's one of the oldest open source codes still in active use, still being actively developed, with full history preserved. Under development for 30+ years, it's big, it's complicated, it's powerful.

I'm here because I hope to engender increased collaboration, cooperation, and coordination among open source CAx efforts. Our open source codes can do more together than we can separately. We've invested hundreds of staff-years, and we want to share the fruits of our labor with others. We also hope to leverage existing investments by others in BRL-CAD.
